Charles Busby

Mr. Charles Edward Busby, 70, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Levine-Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC.

A memorial service will be held at 4pm on Friday, September 7, 2018 at West End Baptist Church with Dr. Ed Carney officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from 2-3:30pm.

Born in Rock Hill, Mr. Busby was a son of the late Jack Tate Busby, Sr. and the late Margaret Agnes Hood Busby. He was preceded in death by his wife, Terry Workman Busby. He was a 1968 graduate of Rock Hill High School. He was the owner of Busby Electric and a founding member of Bethesda Volunteer Fire Department where he was an active member for 40 years. He was a member of West End Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and was a charter member of Second Baptist Church in Rock Hill.

Surviving are his wife of 12 years, Ruth Ellen Foster Busby; his son, James Edward "Jamie" Busby (Karen) of Chapin; his daughter, Lori Busby Crow (Richard) of Gaffney; four stepchildren; his grandchildren, Colby and Kaylee Crow, Lila, Emma Holland and Charlie Busby; twelve step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; his brothers, Jack Busby, Jr. (Carol) of Franklin, TN and Kenny Busby of Rock Hill; and his sister, Sue Stewart (George) of Rock Hill.
