Larry Allen Hudson, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 25, 2025.

Born in Clayton, GA on March 14, 1949, he was the son of the late David Louis Hudson Sr. and the late Eva Louise Carpenter Hudson.

Larry is survived by his siblings, Patricia Hudson Hamrick, Gary Wayne Hudson, Rebecca Hudson Linkous (Ray), Oscar O’Neill Hudson (Carla), Wanda Kay Triguero and Rhonda Faye Hudson. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews, who will remember him dearly.  Aside from his parents, Larry was predeceased by his brother, David Lewis Hudson Jr.

A proud Army and Airforce veteran, Larry served as a Sergeant and carried a deep sense of pride for his service to the country. His commitment to his community continued as a dedicated member of the Lexington Baptist Church and the American Legion, where he made great friendships.

Larry resided at Rock Hill Grove, where he was known for his sweet demeanor and thoughtful gestures. Previously, he enjoyed his time at Chandler Place in Rock Hill, where he was always kind to all the ladies. He would often bring candy to their bowls, charmingly telling them, “That’s to always keep you sweet.” His generosity made a lasting impression on those around him and all who knew him.  Larry will be remembered for his kindness, dedication to family, but mostly, the love for his country.

The family will hold a visitation starting at 11am on June 28, 2025 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd. Rock Hill, SC. A service for Larry will take place after the visitation.  Burial will take place immediately following the service with military honors present at Forest Hills Cemetery 4290 Old York Rd, Rock Hill, SC 29732.
