Rock Hill, SC – Carole M. Wolfe, 72, passed away on Monday, July 31, 2023 at Atrium Health – Pineville.

The service will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Rd., Rock Hill, SC 29732. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm-2:50 pm, prior to the service.

Born in Rock Hill, SC, Carole was the daughter of the late Garvie Clay Mathis and the late Jean Underwood Mathis.  She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jane Mathis Cordero, sister, Betty Jean Mathis Diamond, and her mother-in-law, Rosa Mae Chapman. Carole was a 1968 graduate of Rock Hill High School and was a majorette for the school. She was dental assistant at Boyd Hill and later retired from many years of service with Frito Lay.  Carole enjoyed giving her heart to others and playing the piano. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, relaxing at the beach, and she loved her cats.

Surviving are her spouse, Donnie Wolfe; son, Clay (Christy) Hambright of Atlanta, GA; sister, Chris (Cleve) Collins; grandchildren, Dylan Adams and Maddie Layton; and her great-grandchild, Bodhi Adams; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, and great-nieces.
